"Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the store-house two and two." — 1 Chronicles 26:17 (ASV)

Toward Asuppim, two by two. It is conjectured that the “storehouse” in question (see the note on 1 Chronicles 26:15) had two doors, and two gatekeepers were appointed to each one.
