Albert Barnes Commentary 1 Chronicles 29:30

"with all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries." — 1 Chronicles 29:30 (ASV)

The times that went over him—that is, the events that happened to him. Compare to Psalm 31:15.

All the kingdoms of the countries—the kingdoms, that is, of Moab, Ammon, Damascus, Zobah, and so on. See the full phrase in 2 Chronicles 17:10. Some account of these kingdoms would necessarily have been given in any history of David’s reign.
