"And these are the sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son," — 1 Chronicles 6:50 (ASV)

The sons of Aaron - This list, a mere repetition of the one in 1 Chronicles 6:3–8, probably came from a different source—one belonging to the time of David, with whom Ahimaaz (the last name on the list) was contemporary. The other list in 1 Chronicles 6:4–15 no doubt came from a document belonging to the time of the captivity (see 1 Chronicles 6:15).
