Albert Barnes Commentary 1 Kings 2:7

"But show kindness unto the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be of those that eat at thy table; for so they came to me when I fled from Absalom thy brother." — 1 Kings 2:7 (ASV)

One of the sons of Barzillai mentioned here was probably Chimham. Who the others were is not known. The family continued until the return from the captivity and still held property in Israel (Compare to Ezra 2:61 and Nehemiah 7:63).
