"And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself." — 1 Kings 22:25 (ASV)

Micaiah addresses not so much Zedekiah’s question as the main point in dispute—namely, which of them is a true prophet. “When the news of Ahab’s death, caused by his following your counsels, reaches Samaria, and you have to hide yourself from the vengeance of Ahaziah or Jezebel, then, on that day, you will know whether I or you are the true prophet.”
