Albert Barnes Commentary 1 Kings 6:33

"So also made he for the entrance of the temple door-posts of olive-wood, out of a fourth part [of the wall];" — 1 Kings 6:33 (ASV)

The door of the temple — This is the door that led from the porch into the great chamber of the temple. Its posts were "a fourth part of the wall," or "five cubits high," which was, therefore, the height of the doorway.
