SCRIPTURE

"But a prophet of Jehovah was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out to meet the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because Jehovah, the God of your fathers, was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage which hath reached up to heaven." — 2 Chronicles 28:9 (ASV)

Nothing more is known of this Oded. Compare 2 Chronicles 15:1.

He went out before the host — This phrase is better translated as “He went out to meet the host,” which is how the same phrase is rendered in 2 Chronicles 15:2.

A rage that reaches up to heaven — This means it was not merely an exceedingly great and violent rage, but one that has displeased God.
