"Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of Jehovah came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah." — 2 Chronicles 32:26 (ASV)

Hezekiah humbled himself - Perhaps this is the self-humiliation of which Jeremiah speaks, which followed a particular prophecy delivered by Micah. The prophecy in Micah 3:12 is referred by some to the earlier part of Hezekiah's reign, but there is no evidence to show that it was not delivered around this time.
