Albert Barnes Commentary
"It is no great thing therefore if his ministers also fashion themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works." — 2 Corinthians 11:15 (ASV)
Therefore it is no great thing. This means it should not be considered surprising. You should not wonder if men of the most vile and wicked character adopt the appearance of the greatest sanctity, and even become prominent as proclaimed preachers of righteousness.
Whose end shall be. This refers to their final destiny. Their doom in eternity will not be according to their fine professions and plausible pretenses, for they cannot deceive God; it will instead be according to their real character and their works. Their work is one of deception, and they will be judged according to that. What revelations there will be on the day of judgment, when all impostors will be unmasked, and when all hypocrites and deceivers will be seen in their true colors! And how desirable it is that there should be such a day to reveal all beings in their true character, and to remove FOR EVER imposture and delusion from the universe!
