"And they brought forth the pillars that were in the house of Baal, and burned them." — 2 Kings 10:26 (ASV)

The images - Or “pillars” of wood. The Phoenician pillar idols were mere columns, obelisks, or posts, without any shaping into a human form (Compare 1 Kings 14:23).
