Albert Barnes Commentary 2 Kings 24:8

"Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned in Jerusalem three months: and his mother`s name was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem." — 2 Kings 24:8 (ASV)

His mother’s name - Regarding the position of the “queen mother,” see the note on 1 Kings 15:10. Nehushta’s rank and dignity are strongly marked by the distinct and express mention of her in almost every place where her son’s history is mentioned (2 Kings 24:12; Jeremiah 29:2).
