Albert Barnes Commentary 2 Kings 25:9

"And he burnt the house of Jehovah, and the king`s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, burnt he with fire." — 2 Kings 25:9 (ASV)

He burned the house of the Lord - Compare the prophecies of Jeremiah 21:10; 34:2; 38:18, 23. Psalms 79:1–13 is thought to have been written soon after this destruction of the temple.
