Albert Barnes Commentary 2 Samuel 5:25

"And David did so, as Jehovah commanded him, and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gezer." — 2 Samuel 5:25 (ASV)

Geba - A better reading, as in the marginal reference, is “Gibeon.” Gazer should be “Gezer” (Joshua 10:33 and elsewhere). It lay between the lower Beth-horon and the sea, and was therefore on the direct route the Philistines would take when fleeing from Gibeon. The exact site has now been identified (1 Kings 9:16).
