Albert Barnes Commentary Acts 7:10

"and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house." — Acts 7:10 (ASV)

And delivered him, etc. That is, restored him to liberty from his servitude and humiliation, and raised him up to high honors and offices in Egypt.

Favour and wisdom. The favor was the result of his wisdom. His wisdom was particularly evidenced in interpreting the dreams of Pharaoh (Genesis 41).

And he made him governor, etc. (Genesis 41:40).

All his house. All the family, or all the court and government of the nation.
