SCRIPTURE

"I have surely seen the affliction of my people that is in Egypt, and have heard their groaning, and I am come down to deliver them: and now come, I will send thee into Egypt." — Acts 7:34 (ASV)

I have seen, etc. The repetition of this word is consistent with the usage of Hebrew writers when they want to represent something emphatically.

Their groaning. This refers to their suffering under their oppressions.

Am come down. This is spoken in language adapted to human understanding. It means that God was about to deliver them.

I will send this, etc. This is a mere summary of what is expressed in much greater detail in Exodus 3:7-10.
