SCRIPTURE

"And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the latter time of the indignation; for it belongeth to the appointed time of the end." — Daniel 8:19 (ASV)

And he said, Behold, I will make you know what shall be in the last end of the indignation - In the future time when the Divine indignation will be manifest toward the Hebrew people; namely, through their suffering of the evils that Antiochus would inflict upon them. It is widely represented that these calamities would occur as a proof of the Divine displeasure on account of their sins. Compare Daniel 9:24; Daniel 11:35;Daniel 2:0; Maccabees 7:33.

For at the time appointed the end shall be - It will not always continue. There is a definite period marked out in the Divine purpose, and when that period arrives, the end of all this will take place. See the notes at Daniel 8:17.
