"In the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, before the separate place, and before the building, there were chambers." — Ezekiel 42:10 (ASV)

Render it thus: Breadth-wise, the wall (Ezekiel 42:7) was toward the east; in front of the separate place and of the building were the chambers: that is, on the east was “the wall” (“geder”); along the boundary wall of “the separate place” and of “the building” (the temple) lay the “chambers.”
