"Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews` language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria." — Isaiah 36:13 (ASV)
Then Rabshakeh stood — Indicating the posture of a man who intends to speak to them at a distance.
And cried with a loud voice — So that those on the wall could hear.
