Albert Barnes Commentary Job 37:14

"Hearken unto this, O Job: Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God." — Job 37:14 (ASV)

Listen to this, O Job - That is, to the lesson which such events are suited to convey concerning God.

Stand still - In a posture of reverence and attention. The object is to achieve calm contemplation of the works of God, so that the mind might be filled with suitable reverence for him.
