Albert Barnes Commentary Job 42:9

"So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as Jehovah commanded them: and Jehovah accepted Job." — Job 42:9 (ASV)

The Lord also accepted Job—the marginal note, as in Job 42:8, is “the face of.” The meaning is that He accepted his prayers and offerings on behalf of his friends.
