Albert Barnes Commentary John 3:22

"After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized." — John 3:22 (ASV)

Land of Judea. The region around Jerusalem.

And baptized. Jesus did not himself administer the ordinance of baptism, but his disciples did it by his direction and authority (John 4:2).
