"after the same manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed." — Luke 17:30 (ASV)

Even thus, Destruction came upon the old world, and upon Sodom, suddenly; when they were engaged in other things, and little expecting this. So suddenly and unexpectedly, says he, destruction will come upon the Jewish people. See Barnes on Matthew 24:31.
