"And as he was praying, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment [became] white [and] dazzling." — Luke 9:29 (ASV)

The fashion. The appearance. Glistening. Shining like lightning—of a bright, dazzling whiteness. As Mark says, more white than any fuller could make it.
