Albert Barnes Commentary Mark 16:12

"And after these things he was manifested in another form unto two of them, as they walked, on their way into the country." — Mark 16:12 (ASV)

He appeared in another form. In a form unlike his ordinary appearance, so much so that they did not at first know him. See Barnes on Luke 24:13 and Luke 24:14-31.
