Albert Barnes Commentary Proverbs 7:23

"Till an arrow strike through his liver; As a bird hasteth to the snare, And knoweth not that it is for his life." — Proverbs 7:23 (ASV)

The first clause does not connect itself very clearly with the preceding, and is probably affected by the corrupt text which makes it perplexing.
