SCRIPTURE

"Consider mine affliction, and deliver me; For I do not forget thy law." — Psalms 119:153 (ASV)

Consider my affliction ... - This begins a new division of the psalm, indicated by the Hebrew letter Resh (ר r), corresponding to our "r." The prayer here is that God would look upon his trial; that he would regard it as it really was; that he would not turn away from it or pass it by as if it were a trifle—a thing not worthy to claim his attention. See the notes at (Psalms 9:13).

For I do not forget your law - I endeavor to be obedient, submissive, and patient. As a suffering child of yours, I come to you and implore you to interpose and save me.
