SCRIPTURE

"I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread." — Psalms 132:15 (ASV)

I will abundantly bless her provision - Margin, surely. Hebrew, “Blessing I will bless,” a strong affirmation, meaning that He would certainly do it, that He would do it in every way, and that every needed blessing would be imparted.

The word rendered "provision" is a cognate form of the word in Psalm 78:25, translated "meat": He sent them meat to the full. It properly refers to food for a journey but is applicable to any kind of food.

The original idea is that of food obtained by hunting—as game, venison (Genesis 25:28; Job 38:41). The meaning here is that God would provide abundantly for their support.

I will satisfy her poor with bread - I will give them what they need. See the notes at Psalm 37:25.
