Albert Barnes Commentary Psalms 132:4

"I will not give sleep to mine eyes, Or slumber to mine eyelids;" — Psalms 132:4 (ASV)

I will not give sleep to my eyes ... - There is no difference here between the words sleep and slumber. The meaning is that the house of the Lord should be his first care.
