"persecutions, sufferings. What things befell me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me." — 2 Timothy 3:11 (ASV)
What things befell me (οια μο εγενετο). Qualitative relative (οια) referring to actual experiences of Paul (εγενετο, second aorist middle indicative of γινομα) more fully described in 2 Corinthians 11:30–33. The Acts of the Apostles tell of his experiences in Antioch in Pisidia (Acts 13:14,45,50), in Iconium (Acts 14:1–5), in Lystra (Acts 14:6–19). See also Ga 2:11.
What persecutions I endured (οιους διωγμους υπηνεγκα). Qualitative relative again with διωγμους. The verb is first aorist active indicative of υποφερω, old verb, to bear under as in 1 Corinthians 10:13.
Delivered me (με ερυσατο). First aorist middle of ρυομα, old verb, with εκ here as in 1 Thessalonians 1:10. Used again of the Lord Jesus in 4:18.
