"Wherefore remember, that once ye, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called Circumcision, in the flesh, made by hands;" — Ephesians 2:11 (ASV)
Wherefore (διο). This conjunction applies to the Gentile Christians the arguments in 2:1-10.
That aforetime ye (οτ ποτε υμεις). No verb is expressed, but in verse 12 Paul repeats οτ εν τω καιρω εκεινω (for ποτε) "that at that time" and inserts ητε (ye were).
Uncircumcision (ακροβυστια),
circumcision (περιτομης). The abstract words are used to describe Gentiles and Jews as in Ga 5:6; Romans 2:27.
Made by hands (χειροποιητου). Agreeing with περιτομης. Verbal from χειροποιεω like αχειροποιητος in Col 2:11.
