A.T. Robertson Commentary John 10:26

"But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep." — John 10:26 (ASV)

Because ye are not of my sheep (οτ εκ των προβατων μου). This had been the point in the allegory of the Good Shepherd. In fact, they were the children of the devil in spirit and conduct (8:43), pious ecclesiastics though they seemed, veritable wolves in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:15).
