SCRIPTURE

"When therefore he was gone out, Jesus saith, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him;" — John 13:31 (ASV)

Now (νυν). Now at last, the crisis has come with a sense of deliverance from the presence of Judas and of surrender to the Father's will (Westcott).

Is glorified (εδοξασθη). First aorist passive of δοξαζω, consummation of glory in death both for the Son and the Father. For this verb in this sense see already 7:39; 12:16 and later 17:3. Four times here in verses 31f.
