"But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not." — John 4:32 (ASV)
Meat (βρωσιν). Originally the act of eating (Romans 14:17) from βιβρωσκω, but soon and commonly as that which is eaten like βρωμα once in John (verse 34). So here and 6:27,55. Cf. vernacular English "good eating," "good eats."
I... ye (εγω... υμεις). Emphatic contrast. Spiritual food Jesus had.
