"Look therefore whether the light that is in thee be not darkness." — Luke 11:35 (ASV)

Whether not (μη). This use of μη in an indirect question is good Greek (Robertson,

Grammar, p. 1045). It is a pitiful situation if the very light is darkness. This happens when the eye of the soul is too diseased to see the light of Christ.
