"And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:" — Luke 12:16 (ASV)

A parable unto them (παραβολην προς αυτους). The multitude of verses 13,15. A short and pungent parable suggested by the covetousness of the man of verse 13.

Brought forth plentifully (ευφορησεν). Late word from ευφορος (bearing well), in medical writers and Josephus, here only in the N.T.
