A.T. Robertson Commentary Luke 12:21

"So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." — Luke 12:21 (ASV)

Not rich toward God (μη εις θεον πλουτων). The only wealth that matters and that lasts. Cf. 16:9; Matthew 6:19f. Some MSS. do not have this verse. Westcott and Hort bracket it.
