"but he left the linen cloth, and fled naked." — Mark 14:52 (ASV)
Linen cloth (σινδονα). An old Greek word of unknown origin. It was fine linen cloth used often for wrapping the dead (Matthew 27:59; Luke 23:53). In this instance it could have been a fine sheet or even a shirt.
