"And a multitude was sitting about him; and they say unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee." — Mark 3:32 (ASV)

Was sitting about him (εκαθητο περ αυτον). They sat in a circle (κυκλω) around Jesus with the disciples forming a sort of inner circle.
