A.T. Robertson Commentary
"who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, [that it may be] conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself." — Philippians 3:21 (ASV)
Shall fashion anew (μετασχηματισε). Future active indicative of μετασχηματιζω for which see 1 Corinthians 4:6; 2 Corinthians 11:13f..
Conformed to (συμμορφον). For which (συν, μορφη) see Ro 8:29, only N.T. examples. With associative instrumental case. The body of our state of humiliation will be made suitable to associate with the body of Christ's glory (1 Corinthians 15:54f.).
According to the working (κατα την ενεργειαν). "According to the energy." If any one doubts the power of Christ to do this transformation, Paul replies that he has power "even to subject all things unto himself."
