"Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to each man according as his work is." — Revelation 22:12 (ASV)

My reward is with me (ο μισθος μου μετ' εμου). It is Christ speaking again and he repeats his promise of coming quickly as in verse 7. He speaks now as the Rewarder (ο μισθαποδοτης) of Heb 11:6. Cf. Revelation 11:18; Isaiah 40:10; 62:11.

To render (αποδουνα). Second aorist active infinitive of purpose of αποδιδωμ, to give back. Each will receive the reward according to his own work (Revelation 2:23; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Romans 2:26).
