SCRIPTURE

"We reckon therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law." — Romans 3:28 (ASV)

We reckon therefore (λογιζομεθα ουν). Present middle indicative. Westcott and Hort read γαρ instead of ουν. "My fixed opinion" is. The accusative and infinitive construction occurs after λογιζομεθα here. On this verb λογιζομα, see 2:3; 4:3f.; 8:18; 14:14. Paul restates verses 21f.
