"Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite," — 1 Chronicles 11:30 (ASV)

Maharai the Netophathite, of Netophah, a Levitical district (1 Chronicles 9:16). By family, Maharai was a Zarhite (1 Chronicles 27:13).

Heled. —More correct than Heleb (the form in Samuel). Called Heldai (1 Chronicles 27:15). He was of the clan Othniel.
