"Remember his covenant for ever, The word which he commanded to a thousand generations," — 1 Chronicles 16:15 (ASV)

Be you mindful. —Psalms 105:8, third strophe, begins, He has remembered, that is, “He will certainly remember” His ancient covenant; and the exile and oppression of His people can only be transitory . The expression is modified here, to suit different circumstances, and perhaps in view of 1 Chronicles 16:12.
