"He suffered no man to do them wrong; Yea, he reproved kings for their sakes," — 1 Chronicles 16:21 (ASV)
This verse was originally the apodosis to 1 Chronicles 16:19, as in Psalm 105:0: “When they were but few ... and went from nation to nation ... he suffered no man,” etc.
He suffered no man. — Heb., he permitted no man, as in 2 Samuel 16:11.Psalms 105:0 has the mere accusative, and a different word for “man” (’âdâm).
