"The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth." — 1 Chronicles 23:19 (ASV)

The sons of Hebron. —“Of” is missing in the Hebrew here, as well as in 1 Chronicles 23:16; 1 Chronicles 23:18; 1 Chronicles 23:20. The sons of Hebron comprised four houses, clans, or classes. Their names recur in 1 Chronicles 24:23.
