"And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, valiant men, eighteen." — 1 Chronicles 26:9 (ASV)

And Meshelemiah. — This refers back to 1 Chronicles 26:2 and forms a kind of supplement to the statement there. The Korahite (Kohathite) porters make a total of 80 families; namely, 62 of Obed-edom and 18 of Meshelemiah.
