"And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three [years] reigned he in Jerusalem." — 1 Chronicles 29:27 (ASV)
And the time (Hebrew, the days).
That he reigned. —This verse is a duplicate of 1 Kings 2:11, omitting the words “David” at the beginning and “years” at the end.
Seven years. —More exactly, seven and a-half. (See 2 Samuel 5:5.)
