"And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead." — 1 Chronicles 29:28 (ASV)
In a good old age. —Genesis 15:15.
Full of days. — From the Septuagint and Vulgate (πλήρης ἡμερῶν — plenus dierum). Literally, satisfied with days. Syriac: “And he was satisfied with the days of his life.” (Compare to 1 Chronicles 23:1; Genesis 35:29.)
Riches and honour. — 1 Chronicles 29:12. Syriac: “And he was great in the riches of the world, and in its honor.”
And Solomon his son reigned in his stead. — The regular formula, from 1 Kings 11:43 to the end of the history of the kings.
