Charles Ellicott Commentary
"The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Prisca salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house." — 1 Corinthians 16:19 (ASV)
The churches of Asia salute you.—This verse and the following verse contain the greetings from the churches throughout Asia; from the church in the house of Aquila and Priscilla; and finally, from "all the brethren." Aquila and Priscilla had been the Apostle’s friends at Corinth (Acts 18:1–3), and he was now with them at Ephesus. (2 Timothy 4:19.) Probably, "the church in their house" refers to a group of foreigners then living in Ephesus, who were accustomed to meet there for worship, as distinct from those who had been converted in Ephesus.
