"each man`s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself shall prove each man`s work of what sort it is." — 1 Corinthians 3:13 (ASV)

Revealed by fire.—Better, revealed in fire. For the general scope of this passage, see 1 Corinthians 3:12 above. The day of the coming of the Lord is always thus represented as bursting suddenly with a rush of light and blaze of fire upon the earth. (Malachi 4:1; 2 Thessalonians 1:8; 2 Thessalonians 2:8.)
